Amenities
Chapel & Pastoral Care
Located near our Emergency Department, the non-denomination chapel provides a private location for families to gather. UM Health-Sparrow Carson Chaplain Volunteers are available to provide support to people from any faith tradition (or none). Volunteer Eucharist Ministers provide communion to those of catholic faith. Any one of our nursing staff will coordinate a visit for you.
Elm Street Café
The Café offers specialty coffees and drinks, baked goods, salads, soup, made-to-order breakfast sandwiches, as well as made-to-order deli style sandwiches and wraps.
Apple a Day Café
The Apple a Day Café and Dining Area offers hot entrées for breakfast and lunch as well as soup, grab-and-go dessert, salads and snacks. Carson first floor, 7 a.m. - 2:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
Vending
Vending machines located near the Emergency Department offer cold beverages. Vending machines located just off the dining area of the Apple-a-day Café offer guests cold beverages, hot beverages, carousel meal options and snacks.
Healing Garden
Located off the Front Lobby, the healing garden provides a quiet space with arbors at the entry, benches you can sit on while you wait for friends or family receiving testing, or step away from the bedside of your loved one to gaze at the beautiful flowers in bloom.
Prescription & Gifts
Pharmacy Plus Carson, located inside Carson, offers a full line of prescription and over-the-counter medications and vitamins, gifts, and more, as well as bedside delivery for patients being discharged. Hours: Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. - noon.
Interpreter Services
To ensure patients receive medical information in their own language, UM Health-Sparrow offers free interpreter services via phone, video conference or in-person if possible.
MyChart Bedside tablets are now available at UM Health-Sparrow and they allow you to keep track of your health information, know who your nurses and doctors are, and better understand your stay. Patients can view educational videos and connect with friends and family not able to visit.

Offering chemotherapy services, infusion therapy, transfusion therapy, IV hydration therapy, antibiotic and steroid therapy. Board-certified oncology and hematologist, Brittani Thomas, D.O. cares for patients and is part of the award-winning Herbert-Herman Cancer Center in Lansing.
A level four trauma facility, staffed by a team of board-certified physicians and support staff providing award-winning, nationally recognized overall quality of care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Patient can expect an average wait time of 12 minutes or less.

UM Health-Sparrow Carson’s team focuses on individualized, integrated care from diagnosis to recovery and rehabilitation. From broken bones to sports medicine, you’ll experience excellent care at UM Health-Sparrow Carson.
UM Health-Sparrow Carson offers access to Primary Care in Ashley, Carson City, Fowler, Greenville, Ithaca, and Stanton, as well as Walk-in Care and COVID-19 nasal swab testing.
From a 128 slice Computerized Tomography (CT), to a wide bore MRI, to 3D mammography, you'll experience the best in imaging to assist your provider in your care.
Rehabilitation caregivers provide comprehensive physical treatments on an inpatient and outpatient basis. A variety of services are offered from sports injury and fall prevention to orthopedic and aquatic therapy.
Accredited by the American Association of Sleep Medicine, the Carson Sleep Center is a resource for patients who have sleep apnea or other sleep disorders. We diagnose and provide medical treatment for minor conditions, illnesses and non-emergency care. From allergies, sore throats, sore muscles and ear aches to viral infections - plus everything in between.
UM Health-Sparrow Carson is committed to providing local access specialty care services, such as Cardiology, Cancer and Infusion Therapy, Internal Medicine, Urology, Orthopedics, Obstetrics and Gynecology, and Pain Management.
Highly skilled UM Health-Sparrow Carson surgeons perform same-day surgeries, general surgeries and other highly specialized procedures, including daVinci Surgery, with pre- and post-operative care by our compassionate nursing staff.
From clinical services to screenings our team will provide one-on-one personalized care.
UM Health-Sparrow Wound Care Services is an outpatient service offering patients access to our unique team of specialists. We offer a comprehensive approach for non-healing wounds such as diabetic food ulcers, compromised tissue flaps/grafts and bony or soft tissue wounds resulting from radiation treatment.
