Nurses at Sparrow Clinton Hospital in St. Johns recently hosted a discussion with Nurses from Sparrow Ionia and Sparrow Carson hospitals about the Pathway to Excellence® designation.
Sparrow Clinton earned this prestigious award from the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) in 2016, becoming the only hospital in Michigan to gain the honor. Administrative Assistant Erica Stein; Kara George, RN, BSN; Teresa Pickens, RN; Nikki Pierson, RN, BSN; and Angie Hufnagel, RN, BSN, were among the staff who built Sparrow Clinton’s hefty application.
By sharing experiences and challenges they faced throughout the application process, Sparrow Clinton Nurses hope to help other Sparrow Nurses prepare their Pathway to Excellence® applications.
The Pathway to Excellence® designation confirms quality initiatives used to create a positive work environment where Nurses can flourish. The designation substantiates the professional satisfaction of Nurses at Sparrow Clinton Hospital and identifies it as one of the best hospitals to work in the nation
