A room available for parents of babies in our Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit has gotten a facelift thanks to the generous support of Okemos-based TechSmith.
The renovation included fresh paint, carpeting and fixtures, and all-new furniture to provide a comfortable, private space for parents to rest and know that they are just steps away from their child.
"We support the Sparrow Hospital Regional Neonatal Intensive Care Unit because of the positive impact it has on children in the area," said Jim Hidlay, vice president of marketing at TechSmith. "By funding the renovations of the Parent Room, we hope to bring comfort to families facing difficult health situations while continuing to support the excellent care standards of Sparrow Hospital."
Among the room's many uses, parents can spend a night practice caring for their child overnight - with specially trained Caregivers nearby - before baby is released from the hospital.
Thank you TechSmith for supporting our Patients and their families.
