CARSON CITY, MI. – Yoga and deer hunting are unlikely partners but while some are on a quest for a big buck this week others can spend a few bucks on the quest for good health.
The Carson Foundation is hosting Deer Widows Weekend Yoga on Saturday, Nov. 19, for all ages.
Two sessions are offered, from noon to 1 p.m. and 1:30-2:30 p.m. Cost is $10 per person per session and participants are asked to bring a mat to stretch on and a towel. The Carson Foundation will provide water and a complimentary Sparrow Carson Hospital tote bag.
Deer Widows Weekend Yoga is perfect for those left behind while their partners are enjoying the start of Michigan’s deer hunting season.
All proceeds go to the Carson Foundation, which has provided support in the past for safety helmets for kids; AED equipment for local schools; and a pergola and picnic table for Fort Frontier Park, among others.
“We’re committed to promoting health and wellness in our region, so when we’re able to provide creative activities to our community members it allows us to merge healthy living with a fun atmosphere and a positive attitude,” said Shelly Weaver, Carson Foundation Executive Director.
