LANSING, Mich. - The world's favorite mascot made friends, signed autographs and delighted the young patients at Sparrow's Pediatrics Unit during a recent visit.
Michigan State University's Sparty stopped by to promote the June 3-4 Children's Miracle Network/Sparrow Children's Center Telethon. The 2011 Telethon airs on WILX-TV 10 from 9-11:30 a.m. on June 3 and noon-7 p.m. on June 4.
Sparty signed autographs, painted, and otherwise made great memories for patients in the Pediatrics playroom and during private visits to rooms.
The visit highlighted the work of the Sparrow Children's Center and of supporting the Telethon. A donation to the Children's Center will ensure the ongoing advancement of medical care for all children in mid-Michigan, regardless of their ability to pay.
