Congratulations to Sparrow’s Stroke Clinical Practice Team for earning the 2014 Get With The Guidelines® Gold Plus and Target: Stroke Honor Roll awards from the American Heart Association.
The awards recognize hospitals that demonstrate high compliance in each of AHA’s seven Get With the Guidelines®-Stroke Achievement Measures. The Gold Plus level is the highest achievement level, recognizing performance of 24 consecutive months or more.
Target: Stroke recognition was added in January 2015 to recognize hospitals for achieving performance guidelines for acute ischemic stroke Patients.
The American Heart Association and American Stroke Association recognize Sparrow Hospital for achieving 85% or higher compliance with all Get With The Guidelines©-Stroke Achievement Measures and 75% or higher compliance with five or more Get With The Guidelines©-Stroke Quality Measures for two or more consecutive years. Sparrow Hospital is also recognized for achieving the Time to Intravenous Thrombolytic Therapy in 60 minutes or less for at least 50% of applicable ischemic stroke Patients. This award signifies Sparrow Hospital’s hard work and dedication when improving the quality of care and Patient outcomes.
AHA research has shown that hospitals participating in Get With The Guidelines® provide higher quality care with better clinical outcomes than other hospitals.
Participation in the program is part of the Sparrow commitment to Patient-centered, evidence-based best practices that deliver national benchmark-level outcomes on a consistent and sustainable basis.
