LANSING, Mich. -- Sparrow this week opened its newly named and located Wound and Hyperbaric Clinic. The new clinic moves from 1322 E. Michigan Ave., Suite 204, to 1210 W. Saginaw St. on the St. Lawrence Campus.
The Sparrow Wound and Hyperbaric Clinic is dedicated to providing wound treatment that offers hope for healing.
"The transition of the existing clinic is positive and exciting as it allows the introduction of hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) medicine to Sparrow's comprehensive healthcare services," says Wound and Hyperbaric Clinic Program Director Kim Church.
"The expanded facility allows Sparrow's experienced team of physicians and clinical staff the opportunity to provide patients with proprietary wound care services to achieve improved healing rates,"
HBO is a medical treatment that increases the amount of oxygen in the patient's blood. While increasing oxygen levels in the blood isn't necessary for healthy individuals, people with certain medical conditions such as diabetes, radiation injuries, and chronic wounds, among others, can greatly benefit from HBO treatment.
