Sparrow Health System recently partnered with Cristo Rey Community Clinic (CRCC) to provide an electronic medical record (EMR) system, iSparrow Connect, serving as a catalyst for more collaboration between CRCC and Sparrow.
Cristo Rey Community Center is a non-profit organization that provides basic needs services to children, seniors, families, and individuals in need. The Cristo Rey Community Center Health Clinic offers on-site care and employs a bilingual doctor along with a full staff.
With a new EMR system, medical staff will have faster access to each patient’s medical history. It will also help decrease duplication of tests, treatment and medical history gathering. By partnering with Sparrow, CRCC can continue to expand and improve its quality of patient care.
“This partnership is a great example of how working together increases the capacity to help vulnerable populations,” said Joe Garcia, executive director of CRCC.
“Providing quality, compassionate care for everyone, every time is our mission at Sparrow,” said Michael Zaroukian, M.D., Ph.D., Sparrow Vice President and Chief Medical Information Officer. “With iSparrow Connect, CRCC can more efficiently, effectively, and safely care for their patients. It also means Sparrow Physicians and providers who participate in their care can access and share information to optimize care quality. This is an exciting opportunity for Sparrow, and we look forward to working with CRCC to help transform care and improve the health of people in the mid-Michigan region."
