Sparrow has named Lansing native Kira Carter-Robertson as its new Vice President of Post-Acute Care Services.
In her new role, Carter-Robertson leads Sparrow’s Community Care, Home Health, Palliative Care, which provides specialized medical care for people with serious illnesses, and Skilled and Sub-Acute Services, which serves Patients needing complex care or rehabilitation. Carter-Robertson formerly served as President and CEO of Sparrow Specialty Hospital.
Carter-Robertson has had leadership roles at hospitals in St. Louis, Mo., and Farmington Hills, Mich. She holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame and a master’s degree in Health Administration from St. Louis University in St. Louis, Mo., where she was the top student in her class. Carter-Robertson was instrumental in the recent move of Sparrow Specialty Hospital to the main Sparrow Hospital campus and has been active in a variety of Sparrow’s strategic systemwide initiatives.
In 2012, Carter-Robertson received the ATHENA Young Professional Leadership Award in Lansing. She also serves on various community and health care-related boards.
