Three Sparrow Michigan Athletic Club Lifeguards were recognized and presented with awards this morning by Meridian Township Fire Department and the American Red Cross for their actions in rescuing a 5‐year‐old boy from a pool this summer. Theresa Bodwin of Okemos, Robert Murphy of Lansing, and Jane Wallenwine of Stockbridge were honored at a brief ceremony.
Their quick actions, CPR and use of an Automatic External Defibrillator played a key role in the boy's recovery.
