IONIA, MI – The Sparrow Ionia Hospital Sleep Center recently received accreditation from the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, an important national medical society that ensures the highest standards in the field.
To receive accreditation for a five-year period, a sleep center must meet or exceed all standards for professional healthcare as designated by the AASM. These standards address core areas, such as personnel, facility and equipment, Patient care, and quality.
The Sparrow Ionia Sleep Center consists of two beds and the hospital has been performing sleep studies on Patients since 2006. The center is directed by Vishal Saini, M.D., who is board certified in Sleep Medicine.
