Approximately fifty EMT's, Emergency Department Nurses, and local First Responders participated in Sparrow Ionia Hospital's 4th Annual Critical Events Workshop on Saturday, Feb. 22.
Participants took advantage of the Mobile Simulation Training Lab provided by the University of Michigan Survival Flight Simulation Unit. In addition, they covered topics such as street drugs, managing airways, sepsis, and more.
The workshops, designed to offer hands on education for emergency Caregivers, also promotes networking and communication between local response agencies that improves the quality of care delivered to our Patients before they get to the hospital.
