Many proud Caregivers and guests joined in the festivities for Sparrow’s Baby-Friendly® Certification Celebration on Thursday, April 23 in the Sparrow Professional Building, Third Floor Atrium.
With nearly a quarter-million baby deliveries to our credit, Sparrow is already the premier birthing hospital in mid-Michigan.
Sparrow is now mid-Michigan’s only Baby-Friendly® Hospital, a certification that demonstrates excellence in providing evidence-based, Patient-centered maternity care that promotes best practices in infant feeding and mother/baby bonding.
We’re proud to say that only six hospitals in Michigan and only 245 in the entire country hold the Baby-Friendly designation. Being Baby-Friendly is another way that Sparrow is improving the health of the people in our communities.
