So, your kids aren’t toddlers anymore but their car seats are still lying around?
Join with Sparrow in keeping those car seats out of the landfill by dropping them off for recycling.
We will collect car seats from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 14, in the parking lot of the Sparrow Medical Arts Building, 1322 E. Michigan Avenue, Lansing.
It’s important to remember that car seats have an expiration date and those involved in a crash should be destroyed and replaced.
Here’s all you need to do:
- Remove and discard all fabric, harness straps and Styrofoam from the seat.
- Separate the large metal and small plastic pieces – we can take those, too.
- Bring the stripped seat and metal and plastic pieces to the Sparrow Medical Arts Building parking lot on Saturday.
