Sparrow is consolidating Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital’s home care services with its own this fall as the two organizations continue working together to improve local access to quality Patient care in mid-Michigan.
This collaboration is part of a formal affiliation announced by Sparrow and Hayes Green Beach in 2012 that aims to foster closer cooperation and achieve greater clinical integration for the benefit of the people in the region we serve together.
This is a fine example of another success story that speaks to the importance of our partnership to expand local access to quality health care,” said Dennis Swan, Sparrow President and CEO.
Sparrow intends to maintain an office in Charlotte and retain HGB’s six home care employees to continue meeting Patients’ needs efficiently and effectively. The affiliation will also allow Sparrow and Hayes Green Beach to add additional services, such as pediatric home care nursing and home hospice.
“We are very excited to join with Sparrow to enhance our home health care services,” said Peg Maguire, HGB home health care director. “This arrangement will improve our reach and increase our resources.”
“Health reform is changing how we approach Patient care,” said Matthew Rush, FACHE, HGB President and CEO. “Integrating home health services is one more way we are working together to providing the high quality and better value our Patients expect.”
Sparrow and Hayes Green Beach’s home care services provide an uninterrupted continuum of care for Patients as they transition back to their regular lives following an illness or injury. Sparrow serves residents in Ingham, Eaton, Clinton, Shiawassee, Livingston, Ionia, Barry, Gratiot and Montcalm counties.
Hayes Green Beach and Sparrow will continue exploring additional opportunities consistent with the affiliation agreement to create positive, memorable Patient experiences and improve the health of the people in the growing number of communities we serve.
