LANSING, MICH. – Get your dancing boots ready as University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Foundation Women Working Wonders (W3) is set to host its newest fundraising event this Friday, Boots & Bling!

This glamorous western-themed event includes line dancing, a live auction, bourbon tasting, casino games and live music that will have you dancing the night away. All proceeds will benefit cancer care at UM Health-Sparrow and other W3 initiatives and endowments.

Since its founding in 2002, W3 has stepped up to raise nearly $6 million to support health of women across Mid-Michigan. These generous gifts include a stereotactic breast biopsy machine and life-saving cancer treatment equipment. The group also recently pledged $1 million to help build a leading-edge, comprehensive Breast Center at UM Health-Sparrow.

“We are extremely grateful for Women Working Wonders, a group of strong women who volunteer their time to help improve the health of our communities. This event is just another example of their dedication to ensuring world-class care is available close to home,” said Veronica Klem, UM Health-Sparrow Foundation community engagement and volunteer services manager.

The Boots & Bling event is Friday, Sept. 27 from 6-10 p.m. at The Venue on W. Saginaw. Tickets are still available. To register or to learn more about how you can help make a difference in the lives of women across Mid-Michigan, visit UofMHealthSparrow.org/Foundation.
