CHARLOTTE, MI – Sparrow Eaton Hospital has named Morgan Truba, who credits her nurse mother as the main influence in her career choice, as its 2022 Nurse of the Year.
Truba, an RN on Sparrow Eaton’s Med Surg team, has been a nurse for five years, spending the majority of that time with Sparrow Health System and the past two years at Sparrow Eaton. Prior to becoming a nurse, the Grand Ledge resident had studied to be a registered dietitian. Truba was recognized for this prestigious honor, in advance of next week’s Nurses Week, for her:

“I just want to say thank you,” she said. “I always try to give this role my best and remain positive for all of my patients and coworkers, so it is truly the best feeling to have that hard work recognized.”
“Even on my worst days, I never feel alone here. My amazing coworkers and leaders continue to inspire and motivate me in this challenging profession. The best move I made in my nursing career was accepting my position at Sparrow Eaton Hospital.”
Truba’s nomination stated, “She is an exceptional nurse, has a positive attitude, is always willing to help her teammates and advocates for her patients.”
