Sparrow Dapper Dads calendars sale benefits women’s health

LANSING, Mich. - Not too many stocking stuffers can help save lives, but a 2013 Dapper Dads calendar can. The calendar benefits the Sparrow Foundation's Women Working Wonders (W3), a group of business women and civic leaders who raise funds supporting women's health issues in mid-Michigan.

It features 13 well-known Lansing personalities and dads who raised the most pledges during a mock fashion show in June. Among those featured is Tom Bres, Sparrow Vice President and Chief Information Officer.

"The Dapper Dads calendar is a tribute to Lansing's leading men," said Karen Grannemann, Dapper Dads committee chair. "These men have donated their time and have put a tremendous amount of effort into raising money for a worthy cause. We can't thank them enough."

Over the past ten years, W3 has raised more than $1 million to support women's health in our community. Part of the money raised was used to purchase a stereotactic imaging system at the Sparrow Cancer Center that allows for a timely and accurate diagnosis for breast biopsies.

"All of these men have done so much to support women and women's health in mid-Michigan," said Lisa Hildorf, the 2013 Chair of W3. "They were such great sports as they walked the runway to bring attention to this issue. It's such a great event and we're so proud of everyone who participated."

The calendar is now on sale at sparrowfoundation.org/dapperdads.
