Sparrow Clinton Hospital in St. Johns recently earned recognition from the National Rural Health Association in two categories – as a Top 100 critical access hospital and as a Top 20 Best Practice hospital.
A total of 1,250 leading critical access hospitals in the United States were ranked by iVantage Health Analytics.
For the Top 100 award, iVantage rates hospitals based on 10 indices of strength, including competitive strength, competitive intensity, market size and growth, population risk, cost, charge, quality, outcomes, Patient perspectives, and financial stability.
A total of 60 critical access hospitals earned Best Practice designations in one of three areas - Quality, Patient Perspective or Financial Stability. Sparrow Clinton Hospital was recognized as a Top 20 Best Practice in Financial Stability.
