LANSING, MI – Margaret Dimond, the newly named regional president of University of Michigan Health, has been honored with a distinguished alumni award from Michigan State University’s College of Social Science.
Dimond, whose regional duties include overseeing both Sparrow and University of Michigan Health-West in Grand Rapids, was recognized for her proven track record of success and achieving the highest level of professional accomplishment.
Dimond has strong connections to MSU, having obtained her doctorate in Philosophy there and going on to serve as assistant dean for the MSU College of Human Medicine and Physician Practice Plan. She was also part of the founding team of the MSU Women’s Leadership Institute.
Dimond joined E.W. Sparrow Hospital as president in May and became regional leader on Sept. 1. She has an extensive background in healthcare executive leadership positions, is well-respected throughout the country, and has distinguished herself as an advocate for female leaders.
