Mammography Technologist Sheree Tear sincerely tries to make her Patients as comfortable as possible during what can sometimes be an unpleasant process.
“We have had at least six calls from Patients recently praising the care she provided,” said Joy Szilagyi, Sparrow’s Director of Radiology and Diagnostic Services. “They will only schedule their mammogram in the evening when she works because they want her to do their mammogram every year.”
Tear and her compassionate care are highlighted in Sparrow’s Caregiver Spotlight. Sparrow is honoring those who go above and beyond in providing extraordinary Patient care, making sure the needs of the Patient always come first.
Tear has been involved in mammography treatments for nearly 36 years.
“The whole team really takes their job seriously and takes pride in making a difference in women’s lives,” she said. “It’s a delicate test. We get a lot of satisfaction in being able to detect the early signs of breast cancer.”
