Sparrow Electrophysiologist, John Ip, M.D., FACC, has been invited to present research on a major study at a prestigious international conference in Hong Kong, Oct. 3-6.
Dr. Ip will present Atrial Fibrillation in Patients with Pacemakers and/or ICDs: What Have We Learned? to more than 3,000 conference attendees from around the world at the 6th Annual APHRS & CardioRhythm 2013 conference. Dr. Ip is Medical Director at the Sparrow Clinical Research Institute (SCRI).
"It is an honor as a Physician, and on behalf of SCRI, to be invited to present our own original research to such an esteemed gathering of experts," Dr. Ip said. "This opportunity positions SCRI to be on the leading edge of new cardiovascular research and technologies which ultimately helps us to better serve our Patients right here in mid-Michigan."

SCRI is a non-profit medical research foundation that performs clinical research in cardiology, electrophysiology and cardiovascular surgery, among others. SCRI has completed more than 315 clinical trials and participates in numerous international clinical studies.
In addition to his leadership role at SCRI, Dr. Ip is the primary investigator on 13 active clinical trials, practices as an Electrophysiologist at the Sparrow Thoracic Cardiovascular Institute, and is an Associate Professor in the College of Human Medicine at Michigan State University.
