Dennis J. Reese, a veteran in the healthcare finance field, has been named Chief Financial Officer for Lansing-based Physicians Health Plan.
Reese has 27 years of experience as a senior executive in finance, operations, and strategy formulation, and previously served as the CFO for Martins Point HealthCare in Portland, Maine. He began his new position on April 30.

Reese will have day to day responsibility over the financial operations of PHP and its subsidiaries. He will also be involved strategic initiatives including growth and cost management.
Reese has also served as Vice President and CFO for Kaiser Foundation Health Plan and Hospitals, NW in Portland, Ore., and CFO for Priority Health in Grand Rapids. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Accounting from Pennsylvania State University, and has served on many organizations' Boards of Directors, including the Maine State Chamber of Commerce, Oregon Medical Insurance Pool, Cornerstone Alliance, and Healthy Berrien Consortium.
