Sparrow Caregivers have once again generously supported less fortunate local children and families to ensure they enjoy the holiday season.
Forty-five families, with a total of 168 children, with students at Lansing’s Fairview Elementary School received gifts during Operation Santa 2014.
Two trucks full of toys and clothes were delivered to the school Thursday, Dec. 11. Fairview staff then passed out the presents to parents so they could give them to their children.
"We can't thank Sparrow enough for the continued generosity," said Janice Marchal, principal at Fairview Elementary. "Many of our parents wouldn’t be able to provide Christmas gifts for their children without these donations. Operation Santa allows everyone to enjoy Christmas."
