Sparrow Michigan Athletic Club (MAC), home to the area's most outstanding array of fitness options, is the first in the state to offer Technogym kinesis equipment.
Technogym is designed to offer users a variety of advantages over traditional strength training equipment, said Sara Glees, MAC fitness and wellness supervisor.
"Technogym allows more natural, intuitive movements and a more varied workout," she said. "And it's easy to use, even for those who are just beginning strength training."
Technogym adds a new dimension to the personal training options available at the MAC, said Glees, but is easy for individuals working out alone to master.
The MAC's new Technogym equipment includes Kinesis One, a stand-alone piece that allows users to combine movements to get a total body workout; six kinesis stations, including step/squat, press, overhead press, low pull, high pull and core; and three stretch machines.
"Strength training is a key element of lifelong fitness, and Technogym makes it even easier to incorporate that element into a fitness routine," said Glees. "We're excited about the expanded fitness options this equipment allows us to offer our members."
