At Sparrow we believe that the needs of the Patient must come first and every Caregiver at Sparrow plays a part in making that happen.
Below is a letter written by John Seymour whose wife, Melody, was a Patient at Sparrow. He asked that we share his message publicly in hopes that all of the Caregivers they came in contact with might know how much the care they received was appreciated.
Thank you, John, for sharing such touching sentiments. It reads:
"My wife died March 25, 2015, after 9 years fighting ovarian cancer. I would like to acknowledge the Sparrow personnel for the care she received during those years. Whether in the ER, a hospital room, the cancer center, the infusion center, ICU, or under Sparrow’s home hospice care, every person we dealt with was unfailingly friendly, kind and professional. The valets, guards, housekeepers, aides, nurses, and doctors – everyone – you all made a tough time as pleasant as possible. Your efforts and attitude were noted and greatly appreciated. From Melody and myself, “Thank you, thank you, thank you.” John Seymour
