Dykema Gossett PLLC helped transform a treatment room into a winter wonderland and fill it with nearly 250 toys for Sparrow Pediatric Rehab Patients.
“They need a smile,” said Angie Waltz, Administrative Assistant at Dykema Gossett. “If this helps put a smile on their face? That’s what it’s all about.”
The Lansing law firm’s employees also raised more than $1,300.
“It brought us up and over what we ever expected,” said Waltz. “We are very, very happy.”
The program kicked off Monday, Dec. 15, and lasts until all the toys are given away.
“All of the kids that come here for therapy - physical, occupational, and speech - along with their siblings, get to pick out a toy after they’re done with their treatment session,” said Jennifer Deibel, Department Manager for Pediatric Rehab at Sparrow. “We really appreciate the generosity of Dykema.”
As a national law firm that serves business entities worldwide on a wide range of complex legal issues, Dykema takes special pride in serving the communities in which it lives and works.
This is the second time Dykema Gossett helped create a holiday toy room at Sparrow. The first was in 2012.
