LANSING, MI – Vaccines are currently open to anyone 65 and older and those 50 and over with underlying conditions. New information is available on our website regarding upcoming changes in requirements.
As of midnight Monday, Sparrow had distributed or allocated 61,308 doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, 99 percent of what we have received.
Sparrow schedules clinics based on the weekly allotment we receive. The Sparrow Laboratories Drive-Thru Services Site is located at 3131 E. Michigan Ave., Lansing.
On Monday, 849 vaccines were given by Sparrow. In all, 65 percent of Sparrow caregivers have received at least one dose of the vaccine and 5,460 are fully vaccinated (both doses).
Sparrow has been a national leader in COVID-19 patient care and testing, becoming one of the first hospitals in Michigan to offer tests for inpatients and using innovative processes to increase access and availability.
Sparrow has also been nationally recognized for its innovative COVID patient visitation policy in which a family member or friend is allowed to visit patients on a limited basis wearing personal protective equipment and following strict safety procedures.
