Charlotte, Mich. – Donations can be made through Friday for the annual holiday “Tree of Love” fundraiser at Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital, providing local businesses and individuals the opportunity to honor or remember loved ones with an ornament in their name.
The proceeds benefit the HGB Auxiliary, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the hospital. The Auxiliary’s generosity has helped fund clinical rooms, medical equipment and items that enhance the patient experience.
“We are ever grateful for the annual tradition of the HGB Auxiliary’s Tree of Love fund-raiser,” said Barbara Fulton, Ph.D., HGB director of community development. “Their commitment to coordinating the Tree of Love provides a meaningful way to recognize or remember family, friends and heroes during the holidays.”
Mary Hall and Pauline Borgman, both HGB Auxiliary officers, are this year’s Tree of Love coordinators. Ornaments feature ribbons with the name of the loved one or honoree, and are displayed on the Christmas tree in the hospital lobby. Donations are $5 to display a red bulb, $25 for a silver bulb and $50 for a gold bulb.
Donations can be made between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. To discuss a donation or to ask questions about the Tree of Love, call (517) 543-1050, ext. 2190.
