Charlotte, Mich. – The HGB Auxiliary’s annual “Tree of Love” fundraiser at Hayes Green Beach Memorial Hospital begins Friday, Dec. 1. The festive tradition provides local businesses and individuals the opportunity to honor or remember loved ones with a donation to display an ornament in their name this holiday season.
The proceeds benefit the HGB Auxiliary, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to support the hospital. The Auxiliary’s generosity has helped fund clinical rooms, medical equipment and items that enhance patient experiences.
“We are ever grateful for the annual tradition of the HGB Auxiliary’s Tree of Love fundraiser,” said Barbara Fulton, Ph.D., HGB director of community development. “The Auxiliary’s commitment to coordinating the Tree of Love provides a meaningful way to recognize or remember family, friends and heroes during the holidays.”
Mary Hall and Pauline Borgman, both HGB Auxiliary officers, are this year’s coordinators of the Tree of Love. Ornaments feature ribbons with the name of your loved one or honoree, and are displayed on the Christmas tree in HGB’s main lobby. Donations are $5 to display a red bulb, $25 for a silver bulb and $50 for a gold bulb.
Donations can be made between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m., Monday through Friday, December 1 through December 22. To discuss a donation or to ask questions about the Tree of Love, please call
