A group of special guests, donors, Physicians, Cancer Center Patients and Caregivers gathered recently to sign on to a piece of history. See more photos.
After brief remarks from James and Susan Herman, attendees lined up to sign the beam or add a personal message.
The naming of the Herbert-Herman Cancer Center facility recognizes a combined $2.5- million philanthropic gift from James and Judith Herbert of Lansing, and James and Susan Herman of East Lansing. James Herman, M.D., is the Medical Director of the Sparrow Cancer Center.
Support from our region and our Caregivers is what allows us to transform health care, expanding and improving our services to bring you quality, compassionate care, in a healthy, healing environment.
This beam, filled with signatures from Caregivers, Patients, Donors, and community members, is a reflection of that collaboration and will be a permanent piece of the Herbert-Herman Cancer Center, opening early summer of 2017.
