The Michigan Hospital Association (MHA) Harvest Gathering Food Drive at Sparrow runs thru the week of Nov. 10.
We want to set a new record for the campaign and we cannot do it without your assistance. At least one volunteer is needed to be in charge of each participating department’s efforts.
The MHA Food Drive volunteer role within the department is easy:
- Put out a box and remind and encourage Caregivers to give food items.
- Make sure a box for the drive is visible to Caregivers.
- Posters and stickers are available in the Volunteer Office at Sparrow’s Main Campus.
- During the last week of the campaign, bring the items to the designated pick-up spot for collection.
Last year, many departments had great stories about competitions between campuses, examples of ways that even Patients and visitors became involved in the drive, and most of all how much fun Caregivers had working toward our goal to help those in need.
