Future Nurses treated to day at Sparrow

Students participating in Michigan State University's Future Nurses Club Summer Enrichment program had the opportunity to see and hear firsthand from some of Sparrow's finest during a visit on Tuesday, July 15.

Ten students from Lansing's Eastern, Sexton, and Everett high schools met with Sparrow Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer, Mary Lou Wesley, RN, MSN, and Vice President, Christine Jodoin, MSN, RN, NE-BC.

They also heard from Caregivers in Human Resources, Diversity and Patient Experience about what it means to be a nurse at Sparrow. The students also toured to visit with nurses working in specialized areas including Orthopedics, the Emergency Department, Mother/Baby, Cardiac, and Pediatrics.
