Eaton man living with hope after Stage 4 cancer diagnosis

In March 2022, Donald “Buck” Andrews of Charlotte was struck by a drunk driver, leading to a spot being discovered on his lung.

A Marshall-area pulmonologist assured him it was nothing to worry about. However, nearly two years later, Andrews required emergency care at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing for a collapsed lung, only to find out the spot was cancer all along.

Luckily, that’s when our highly skilled team at the Herbert-Herman Cancer Center got involved.

Now diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer, the 52-year-old relies on the UM Health-Sparrow team and cutting-edge medicine to extend his life.
