Hundreds of attendees got the inside scoop on the wildly popular PBS show, “Downton Abbey,” while benefitting women’s health initiatives at the 40th annual Kaleidoscope event, sponsored by the Sparrow Foundation’s Women Working Wonders (W3).
The Sept. 5 daylong conference at Michigan State University’s Kellogg Hotel and Conference Center featured Jessica Fellowes, author and journalist best known for her worldwide bestsellers on “Downton Abbey.” Fellowes, the niece of the show’s creator, Julian Fellowes, delighted the audience with backstage stories of the show and a sneak peek at the new season. She also discussed the sociohistorical context of the era and how it influences what you see on screen.

It was the first year that Sparrow has sponsored the event, which featured seminars, workshops and unique opportunities to shop, learn and network. Plans are already underway for the 2015 Kaleidoscope. See more photos from the event here.
