In Honor of the 25th Annual WINS Breast Cancer Celebration in October, breast cancer survivor, author, artist and national speaker Heidi Marble came to talk to Sparrow’s breast cancer support group. Over 125 Patients and family members benefited from her inspiring and motivational story.
In advance of her visit, Marble called on Sparrow Caregivers to collect broken jewelry for the creation of a survivorship mirror - signifying the transformation of broken to beautiful.
Baskets were placed all around the hospital and professional building to collect donations of cast off jewelry, buttons, gem stones, beads and bling.
The mirror designed by Marble, “Many Colors of Cancer,” was revealed at the annual celebration and now hangs in the Sparrow Cancer Center for all to enjoy.
Thank you to everyone that participated in donating and collecting the broken jewelry.
