LANSING, Mich. – Due to much-needed road work, all patients, visitors and team members will need to use a back entrance to gain access to the main parking ramp at University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Lansing.
Starting Thursday, Sept. 19, all Michigan Avenue entrances, including access to the main parking garage, Ramp A, will be closed due to construction on roads on UM Health-Sparrow property. The closure is expected to last until Monday, Sept. 23. Ambulance services will not be impacted.
All team members, patients and visitors should use the back entrance of Ramp A from Jerome Street, including for patient pickups and discharges.
Two alternate routes are suggested for access:
- Route 1: Michigan Avenue to Pennsylvania Avenue to Jerome Street.
- Route 2: Michigan Avenue to Holmes Street to Jerome Street.
The project aims to make the patient drop-off process and traffic patterns much safer for hospital visitors along Michigan Avenue. The work is not tied to the Michigan Avenue construction east of the hospital.
Patients or visitors who may need assistance on entering the hospital should contact 517-364-1000.
