Sparrow Clinton Hospital Foundation hosts its annual Stroke for Life Golf Scramble on Wednesday, July 9.
Celebrating its 30th year, the outing will be held at the Emerald Golf Course, north of St. Johns on US-127.
Event Chairman Jonathan Koenigsknecht, DDS, anticipates more than 260 golfers will play in morning or afternoon flights, sharing a day of golf, networking and prizes.
Activities include putting and chipping contests and the opportunity for players on par three holes to win prizes. The first hole-in-one on Number 8 will receive $10,000. and one lucky golfer will have a chance to make a $1 million hole-in-one shot.
The Stroke for Life outing has raised more than $750,000 since 1984, funding essential facilities and technologies at Sparrow Clinton Hospital. Monies raised at the 2012-2015 scrambles have been designated to help fund construction of the St. Johns hospital's new Emergency Services Department.
