CARSON CITY, MI – University of Michigan Health-Sparrow Carson Orthopedics and Sports Medicine now offers expanded orthopedic services to the Carson City-area community.
Orthopedic providers, Alicia Ballard, D.O., Michael Vaccariello, M.D., and Angela Beckhold, PA-C, will begin seeing patients and performing surgeries at UM Health-Sparrow Carson Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, 245 S. Second St., Carson City, starting Monday, April 8. In addition to the Carson City location, Ballard, Vaccariello, and Beckhold will continue to see patients at UM Health-Sparrow Ionia Orthopedics and Sports Medicine, 537 W. Main St., Ionia.

Ballard provides care in general orthopedics, including anterior hip replacements, osteoporosis management, and sports injuries. She completed her orthopedic surgery residency at Broward Health Medical Center in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Vaccariello is a fellowship-trained orthopedic surgeon specializing in shoulder and knee injuries and pain with a special interest in treating and preventing sports injuries in athletes of all ages. He completed his orthopedic surgery residency in Grand Rapids and completed a sports medicine fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.
Beckhold provides treatment for a wide variety of orthopedic conditions and fractures and performs hip, knee, and shoulder intra-articular and bursa injections. She completed her medical degree at Central Michigan University.
