Developmental Team: Consists of physical therapy and occupational therapy services working with your child to provide:
- A comprehensive evaluation of muscle tone and range of motion, developmental reflexes, developmental movement patterns, sensory processing and neurobehavioral organization, and visual skills as appropriate to your child’s gestational age.
- Motor development support, facilitation of handling tolerance, facilitation of neruobehavioral state organization, and positioning recommendations for your child.
- Development of home exercise programs to continue therapy interventions at home and completion of parent education to ensure a safe discharge.
- Your child’s therapist may also fabricate a splint for your child to assist with positioning and range of motion of your child’s joints.
